Is mum trying to imply something?

She went to the Pets emporium, bought a dog-proof container to put my food in, and got me this new bowl......

Icy... Good or bad?

Funny old day today.  Woke up when Mum came down.  She asked if I wanted "out" and I just fancied a tear round the garden.  She opened the door and I got my from paws on the step... By Dingo was it slippery and paw-freezing.  Mum said it was ice and snow.  Yuck... BAD.  That was that... bodily functions were put on hold and before you could say Rottweiler I was in by the fire.   Mum then asked if I fancied something special and went to the freezer - yeah, some sense of humour!  But, to my astonishments she produced my Kong and it was full of something awesome.  Took me about 45 mins to get all the lovely bits out as they melted.  Ok, so that kind of icy  is GOOD.  She had to go out in the arctic conditions for a bit (someone has to get stuff for little old me and Charlie Cat) so I had a cosy kip and before I knew it she was back... had some funny dreams about chasing Kong round puppy school, and finding it full of cheese nom nom..  When she got back we went out with Pat and Bo. When we got out of the car white bits were falling from the sky.  They were funny but they didn't taste of anything.  It was cold and there was that snow stuff on the ground, but it didn't seem to matter as I galloped around:)

Human Training continues

Ok, ok... it's been a few days, but hey, life gets busy and time at the keyboard is limited.  Surely you appreciate how long it takes me to type with my big paws too!  So what've I been up to?

Well, human training is going pretty well with a few setbacks of course as they're not the easiest of creatures - too clever for their own good really.    I have had a good success with Mum in one area though - taught her to put some of my breakfast in Kong - it is just so much fun then.  Pat brought me a fab fab fab ball to put snacks in - I can kick it all over and it makes wonderful clatter, clash, bang noises all over the kitchen.  Dad didn't seem as excited as me by the noise and Mum was a right spoilsport and put it in my wire den so I could only knock it about in there after a bit.  Said something about headaches!

I've made sure one of the humans at least gets a walk every day - it's so good for them.  Persuaded Dad into another trip to the river bank on Monday but it was so windy and cold the poor chap froze again!  He said he had lots of fun though and so did I, so that's great.

Now, last night was puppy school again.   The humans came up with a terrific plan that would tire me and Bo out before class.  Yes well that's what they thought, but it tired them out instead, feeble creatures.   We went over the big bridge thingy and into a dark car park.  Bo, Pat, Mum & I got out and Dad disappeared off with Pat's car to get some food for the Charlie cat.   The rest of us walked to Hessle.   It was great fun to be out with Bo - we enjoy walking together and having the odd snog!    On the way we met this awesome chap - he was as tall as Bo but about 5 times as wide!  I think he was an important church dog as Mum said he was Saint Bernard!  He was lovely and gave Mum some nice fuss while I tried t talk to his human so he didn't feel left out and Bo helped too.

We got to school early and were first in the hall for a change.   Trouble is I get bored very easily; well you know what an intelligent boy I am!  The start of class means I am supposed to just sit or lie down and watch all these gorgeous other pups and dogs come in while the humans talk - well if they can talk, WHY CAN'T I?   Why does Mum seem rather stressed because I want to make my voice heard?  Marion was asking what progress we made this week with the training and Mum said she ONLY wanted the humans to tell her - I was doing my best to explain all we've done and all it got me was a trip out into the corridor with mum.  NOT FAIR!     We went back in and Marion took pity on me and came  and told me she quite understood my feelings. Then just as I was going to tell her everything she shook this rather delicious smelling raggy thing and oh, my it was so attractive, then there was a thing like a tennis ball sausage and she gave me that too, so I was torn between them and forgot I needed to shout out about life!   She's one crafty lady!

In the lesson proper there was a really funny game.   Mum and Dad put my snack bag on a chair then took one out and I had to walk across the room with them attached to my lead but I had to trust them to walk without me tugging them in the right direction.  They did really well and celebrated by giving me a snack.  Then we walked together back to the snack bag to get another one and do it again.  They were really very good at staying with me - I didn't have to pull them apart from when it came to their peculiar reluctance to go with me to play with my class mates.  I tried so hard to pull them over to the others but just couldn't - they just stopped in their tracks and kept calling me back for more snacks. More work on that one needed but the snacks are yummy!  I shouted over to the others that I was sorry I couldn't get over to play, and one (Jake/Jack?) answered me that he agreed his humans need to learn to let us play too.

Anyway, one last piccie for you tonight - I still can't resist chasing the Charlie cat sometimes as he is is a total cheeky sod - he baits me and then runs!   We do get on mostly though - we both managed to drink at the same time from the same bowl earlier - neat trick don't you think!
