Mega-adventure!

Well I don't know where to start.   I thought something funny was going on as on Tuesday afternoon Mum kept tying me to the little house on wheels in the garden... I gather it's called a caravan.  She was in, out, in, out for ages, like she couldn't decide where to be.  Strange how I get told off for that behaviour but it's fine for her.

Yesterday morning Dad played a fun game but wouldn't let me help.  He had lots of things wrapped in paper and was tearing off the paper.  I could do that!   Apparently it was a birthday.  He's sixty. That sound old but he said really for humans it isn't.

Later they put loads of stuff in the car including my den. .then shut me in my metal den in the kitchen saying my help wasn't needed.  I was worried.  It was okay though.   Soon I was asked to get into the car and clever old car pulled the caravan being it.   When I woke up we were in a lovely place with trees, grass and other dogs.  There are smells to die for, stones to throw around,  bit of wood to chew...wahay!   Mum and Dad built a big human den on the side of the caravan and we all had dinner in it.  My den went inside the caravan and we had a cosy night.

This morning I took Mum for a walk at about 6am (kept her on a lead for safety), took her to the loo and supervised her... well you never know who's about in strange loo blocks.  Now she has cold feet so I'm warming them while we wait for.Dad to wake up.  It's 8am now so it should be soon :)

Feeling Daffy!

Image result for Ducks

Well, there I was idling about at home when Dad said he was bored, so we would walk around to the garage to see if his car was fixed. It was, so then he had a better idea......walkies............ He said we would go and see the ducks, but as it is pretty much duck-free around home, he parked up just outside the village and then we set off in the direction of Barton-upon-Humber along a footpath. I soon found something I wanted to roll in like yesterday, which had resulted in me being scrubbed down in the shower by Mum and Dad. Dad said she was very good at that sort of thing, at least that's what I think he meant when he said she was a quality scrubber? This time dad went ape-shit the second my shoulders dipped towards the crap pile so I thought better of it.

After a couple of miles we ended up in duck land, aka Pasture House Fisheries where there were ducks squawking everywhere. Dad tied me to a seat so that he could have a cup of tea in the cafe, and I just had to carry out an examination of the inside of my eyelids for a few minutes. After a while we set off again towards home but Dad got a call from Mum saying she would pick us up saving us a mile of walking. I wasn't sad actually!

Whichever way you look at it, it was a long walk and I though he was determined to wear my paws down to the knees! I am now absolutely Donald............................... :-)

Pine cones are fun

Things have been a bit quiet round here.  Mum went away Mon to Fri last week leaving me and Dad at home. We walked, did stuff in the garden and chilled out.

Saturday was interesting though.  Mum suggested we go to see why there was no school for me.  There was something called an agility contest instead.  I wasn't very happy that I had to stay on the lead.  All these dogs were running round fields with their humans, jumping and playing with all manner of fun looking things, but I wasn't allowed to.  Not fair!

Yesterday we went for a walk near the airport.  It was so windy I thought my ear flaps would lift me off the ground.   I've discovered a new thing to chase and chew... Pine cones.

I have to say I was rather tired when we got back to the car.. Zzzzzz
