We went to the seaside. I like the seaside. There are lots of things to pounce on, lots of doggie friends to meet and people everywhere. It feels funny too when the wet bits splash as you dash about. I found this great shell thing to jump on, then Dad called me. He liked me to run up to him and try to splash him when he said come!
Then Mum said "come" so galloped over and tried to splash her too - they both had loads of fun.
Things got even more fun after we chased all over the mud because Mum and Dad said they felt ok if I let them walk without a lead for a while. I met new friends galore. One was a rather gorgeous little spaniel - I was just thinking of getting to know her a lot better when Dad said he wanted to walk on and wanted me to help, so please could I have the lead back on. I wasn't keen but eventually agreed. Then later I met a spotty dog - she was a teenager like me and we jumped about together. She needs to watch herself though as she had me flat on my back twice. Clearly doesn't know her own strength.
All too soon we were back at the car and Zzzzzzzz suddenly we were home! I sat down and decided to lick my fur as it was full of itchy scratchy yellow stuff from the seaside. Mum had other ideas and let me borrow her shower, so now I am nice and clean. I have to say I didn't really enjoy it, but she knelt down and let me put my head on her shoulder so I felt safe.
What happened the rest of the afternoon? No idea, but I had lots of lovely dreams!
