Daily life as a river dog was wonderful.
About 6am - A walk, just me and Mum.
About 7am - back to the boat for breakfast and a kip.
Mornings - the boat turned into magic transporter just like car! I was allowed to kip on a special soft thing called a sleeping bag either inside on a seat (what a treat!) or outside on a bench if it was warm. Heaven!
Afternoon - more walks to lots of fun new places
Evenings - potter about the boat and shore, play, eat, kip.
Nights - cosily zipped in my own den from home.
Memorable Moments
When we arrived at Stalham Dad had this great idea. He said while Pat and Mum unpacked the car into the boat and did the girly stuff, making it like home, he and I could go for a long walk on a footpath to a pub where we could get a drink!
I'm snoring away, mid dream, comfy on the sofa. I'm chasing butterflies, romping in the fields. I smell, then spy some fox poo and decide to roll, ooohhh marvellous .... OUCH!!!! Apparently if you roll when on a seat you land on the floor of the boat! No, Mum, it wasn't funny!
On the shore at Irstead we played frisbee. Mum threw it. Whee and over a hedge it flew.... we all went searching and they humans had given it up for lost but with my wonder nose I FOUND IT!!
At Salhouse Broad there's a big play field on a hill and I found a fabulous stick. Mum threw it and I bounded up and down after it. Later I got to play with other doggies - a Retriever and a Labrador like me, but black. Odd though, when the Retriever had the stick he wouldn't share and used a bit of bad language. Silly boy!
I will add more when I remember them!
