Holy Baptism

Well, it was like this you see. Dad said 'Let's go for a walk', so I said 'Yipeeeeeeee' and off we went in the truck to Cadney after a bit of boring shopping in Brigg. We parked the truck and set off down the river bank beside the River Ancholme. Lovely grass path, lots of smells and fox crap..........you know, the usual. Then I heard something familiar; a sort of hissing noise coming from the river. I pushed my way through the long grass to the bank side. I was right - white floating monsters called swans; the same as I saw in Norfolk. I saw 13 white monsters heading for me so I adopted the position to greet them. One of them shot up to me hissing and I am pretty sure he was telling to to go away, They did that when I saw them on the boat holiday; they said to Norfolk off! . The bank was VERY steep.

Whoops. My head was very low, and my back end was very high, As I barked, I lost my balance and fell in! I thought the swans were laughing their heads off! Dad was crying with laughter on the bank. He said "I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen!" But he could barely say it for laughing.

Good news.........I can swim.....YIPEEEEEEE.......and it's FUN, FUN, FUN and it cools you down. I climbed out and shook myself all over Dad who called me a smelly bar steward or something like that. Then I jumped back in again. AWESOME!!!!!!!! Dad said 'Oh we've been and done it now. A water dog is born '.

Dad called me out three more times before he got fed up and put me on the lead.....miserable so and so. Wow, what a day. More, more, more please!
